How to spend your Christmas vacation

Looking for something non-electronic to do?  Now is the time to make the most of the clear winter weather by getting outdoors during Christmas vacation.  It will do the kids some good and let's face it, it wouldn't hurt the adults one bit.  If you are still smarting from some holiday over-spending, opt for some free activities, such as walking the trail at the Parkview YMCA, hiking the beautiful trails at the Northwest Allen County Schools Environmental Center (behind Oak View Elementary) or just walk outside around your neighborhood.  Try it at night and take the kids with you so they can get a closer look at all those holiday lights!  Walking a familiar area such as your own neighborhood takes on a whole different appearance when it is dark outside. While you are outside at night, look for Jupiter high in the southern sky.  It will look white like a star.
